Yala National Park is one of Sri Lanka's largest wild life parks and also it is the most visited park. It is mixture of scrub jungle, lakes, brackish lagoons, streams and rocky outcrops. The picturesque coast line of the Yala National Park is a place where you can relax your feet in the warm water of the Indian Ocean. Yala is the best in Sri Lanka for viewing a wide diversity of animals. It is popular for its large number of Elephants, Leopards and Sloth bears. Yala has highest density of leopards in the world. Therefore it is best known for its leopards.
Bundala Safari Tour
Bundala National Park covering an area of 6216 hectare and it is a scrub jungle and sand dunes bordering the sea. Its beaches are important nesting sites for turtles. The lagoons hold good number of crocodiles and birds. As well as It is home to good number of mammals such as Elephant, Spotted deer, langur monkey, Jackal, Black-naped Hare, Wild pig. The picturesque lagoons are alive with flashes of brilliant colors as wintering birds arrive to rest and feed. Udawalawa Safari Tour
Udawalawe is a popular national park because of its Elephants. Situated by walawe river and udawalawe reservoir this park is a mixture of scrub jungle, grassland and abandoned teak plantation. Park has quite a lot open parkland which makes Elephant watching easier. Toque monkey, Spotted Deer, Wild pig, Black-naped hare, mongoose likely to be seen.
